Kununurra - Wyndham- Grotto WA 4th July

We left our campsite at Kununurra and did a bit of touristy stuff- we went and checked out the pink Argyle Diamonds (only place in the world they find pink diamonds, they are extremely rare and equally expensive, so Shell’s dream of owning a pink diamond went out the window pretty quickly!). We went to the Rum Distillery where Jaime and Shell did a bit of taste testing followed by lunch down at the Ivanhoe Crossing, which is in flood at the moment. We left Kununurra and drove up to Wyndham, this is a town not really worth the visit, we went up to the 5 Rivers lookout which is not an overly pretty view but interesting, you can see a very long way. We finished the day at a place called The Grotto, just south of Wyndham where we set up camp for the night. We met another travelling family here and had a great night with them, setting off our fire crackers. We went for a walk down into the Grotto the next morning, it is a canyon and at the bottom is a waterhole which is 100m deep. Aidan and Cody both took a quick dip, but only a quick one as they said the water was freezing.
