Myall Lake

We had a very relaxing few days camping at Myall Lake. Our camp was right on the waters edge and we could leave the boat in the water tied up next to us.

Our campsite at Myall Lake - Aidan and Cody out snorkelling
We had some great days fishing here, catching some nice bream and flathead, and we hooked what we think were two barracoota, we got them up near the boat but their sharp teeth cut the line both times on us.
The boys spent a lot of time snorkelling around in the water in front of our camp spot. As well as climbing the trees - although they discovered they weren't that good at climbing when they watched how easily a goanna climbed a tree next to them! There were quite a few goannas just wandering around the camp area, Aidan got a shock when one of the ones he was following turned on him - we don't think we have ever seen him run so fast!

One of their best positions
We met a really nice couple here, Warren and Jan who were up from the Central Coast, for 2 weeks of peace and quiet - don't know if they got much quiet with Aidan and Cody around!
Cleaning fish
Life is tough when this is the view from your office!
